Log in to Flipkart Seller Hub, open the Payments section, choose the payment or settlement report type, set the date range, and generate or download the file, usually as Excel or CSV. Menu names change from time to time, so confirm labels in your own Seller Hub. Then check totals against your bank credits before using the file.
What you need before you start
Most download problems come from access or timing, not from the report itself. Sort these out first:
- Seller Hub access: Your login needs permission to view payments. If the Payments section is missing, ask the account owner to check your user role.
- A clear period: Decide whether you want a settlement-date view (what reached the bank in a period) or an order-date view (what happened to orders placed in a period). Finance teams usually need the first for bank matching and the second for sales analysis.
- Your agreed terms: Keep your seller agreement and the latest rate card at hand. You will need them to judge whether deductions are correct.
Steps to download the payment report
Flipkart updates the Seller Hub layout periodically, so treat the labels below as a guide and confirm them in your own account.
- Log in to Flipkart Seller Hub with your seller credentials.
- Open the Payments section from the main menu (it may sit under a Finance or Reports heading).
- Look for the payment report, settled transactions or settlement report option. Some accounts also show an outstanding or upcoming payments view.
- Select the date range. Keep it to a month or less at first, as very large ranges can time out or produce files that are hard to open.
- Click the download or generate option. If the report is queued, wait for it to appear in the downloads or reports list, then download it.
- Save the file with a clear name, for example flipkart-payments-2025-04-01-to-2025-04-30.xlsx, and do not overwrite older versions.
If you cannot find the report, search the Seller Hub help section for the current name, or raise a support ticket and ask which report shows settled transactions with fee breakups.
Which report to choose
Flipkart may offer more than one payment-related file. Names differ by account and over time, so match on purpose rather than on label.
| What you want to know | Type of report to look for |
|---|---|
| What was paid to my bank, and when | Settled or completed payments report |
| What is still to be paid | Outstanding, pending or upcoming payments view |
| Fee and deduction detail per order item | Report with commission, fixed fee, shipping fee and collection fee columns |
| Order and return status | Orders and returns reports, used alongside the payment report |
Download the payment report and the orders report for the same period. You will need both to explain any gap.
Check the file before you use it
Spend five minutes on basic checks. They save hours later.
- Row count and period: Confirm the first and last dates match what you requested.
- Total against bank: Add up the net settlement amounts for each payment date and compare with the credit in your bank statement.
- Identifiers: Make sure every row has an order ID or order item ID, and a payment or settlement reference. Rows without these are hard to trace.
- Negative rows: Returns, cancellations and adjustments often appear as negative values. Do not filter them out, as they explain why a payout looks smaller.
- Tax columns: Note any tax collected or deducted at source. Do not assume rates; check your seller agreement, the settlement report and your tax adviser for the current treatment.
Match the report to orders and your agreed terms
A downloaded report only helps if you test it. A practical routine:
- Join the payment report to your orders report on order item ID.
- List orders delivered in the period that have no settlement yet, and compare against the payment cycle in your agreement.
- For each settled row, recompute commission and fees from your rate card and compare with what was deducted.
- Flag returns where the refund or reverse shipping deduction looks unusual, and note the claim window for raising a dispute.
Doing this by spreadsheet works for small volumes. As order counts grow, a tool such as MarketplaceMetrics by Fundle can reconcile sales and settlements, check fees against agreed terms and track returns and recovery cases. Its Myntra Excel report review is available now, and other marketplaces, including Flipkart, can be discussed for scope.
Common problems and fixes
- Report is empty: The period may have no settled payments, or you may have chosen the wrong report type. Try a wider settlement-date range.
- File will not open or looks cut off: Reduce the date range and download again, or import the CSV rather than double-clicking it.
- Totals do not match the bank: One bank credit often combines several settlements. Group by payment date or reference, not by order date.
- Fees look different from last month: Check whether your rate card or category terms changed, and ask support for the effective date before assuming an error.
Worked example
Illustrative example only. All figures are made up for explanation and are not Flipkart rates.
| Line | Amount (₹, illustrative) |
|---|---|
| Order item value | 1,000 |
| Total fees expected from your rate card (commission, fixed fee, shipping, collection) | 220 |
| Expected settlement | 780 |
| Settlement shown in payment report | 740 |
| Unexplained difference | 40 |
The ₹40 gap is your query. Open the fee columns for that order item, compare each against the rate card, and check for a return-related or adjustment row. If it cannot be explained, raise a ticket with the order item ID, settlement reference and screenshots, within the dispute window in your agreement.
Questions and answers
Where is the payment report in Flipkart Seller Hub?
It is normally under the Payments section of Seller Hub, sometimes grouped with finance or reports. Menu names and layout change over time, so check your own account or the in-app help if the option is not where you expect.
What format does the Flipkart payment report download in?
Reports are generally provided as Excel or CSV files, though the exact format can vary by report type. If a large Excel file will not open properly, shorten the date range or import the CSV into a spreadsheet instead.
Why does my bank credit not match the payment report?
A single bank credit can combine several order settlements, and returns or adjustments may reduce it. Group report rows by payment date or settlement reference and total them, then compare that figure with the bank credit rather than matching order by order.
How often should I download the payment report?
Many sellers download it after each settlement cycle, or at least monthly before closing books. More frequent checks help you catch missing payments and wrong deductions while the dispute window in your seller agreement is still open.
