A Myntra settlement report lists each order or return line with sale value, deductions (commission, fixed and logistics-type fees), tax amounts such as TCS or TDS, adjustments and the net payable. Exact column names vary by report version, so map each label to one of these groups, then verify it against your seller agreement and rate card.
Why column names differ and how to approach them
Myntra changes report formats from time to time, and the labels in your Partner Portal download may not match what a blog or a colleague describes. Do not rely on a fixed list of column names. Instead, sort every column into one of five groups: identifiers, sale value, deductions, taxes, and payout or adjustments.
Before you start, keep three documents open: your seller agreement or commercial terms, the current rate card or fee schedule shared with you, and the bank statement for the period. Any column you cannot place in a group should be confirmed with your Myntra account manager or the support channel in the portal.
Identifier and date columns
These columns let you tie a payout line back to an order. They carry no money, but every reconciliation depends on them.
- Order or item ID: the key to match with your OMS or ERP. Check whether it is at order level or item level, because one order can have several items settled separately.
- SKU or style ID: used to check price, tax category and fee slabs by product.
- Order, dispatch and delivery dates: useful because settlement timing and some fees usually depend on these events. Confirm the exact trigger in your agreement.
- Settlement or payout date and UTR/reference: the link to the bank credit.
Sale value columns
These show what the customer paid and what Myntra treats as the base for charges. Typical labels include MRP, selling price, discount, and final or invoice value.
- Selling price versus invoice value: they may differ because of discounts, coupons or who funds a promotion. Check your promotion terms to see whether the discount is borne by you or by Myntra.
- Quantity: confirm it matches your dispatched quantity.
- Taxable value and GST amount: if shown, they should agree with your invoice.
Fees are usually calculated on one of these values. Find out which one from your agreement, since it decides whether a commission is correct.
Deduction columns: commission and fees
This is where most disputes arise. Look for columns resembling the following (names will vary).
| Column type | What it usually represents | Verify against |
|---|---|---|
| Commission | Marketplace charge on a sale value | Agreed commission by category or brand |
| Fixed or closing fee | Per-item or per-order charge | Rate card slab |
| Logistics or shipping fee | Charge for delivery or return movement | Weight or slab rules in your terms |
| Other service charges | Any additional fee line | Written agreement or notice |
Never assume a percentage from memory or from another seller. Take the rate only from your own agreement or rate card, and confirm the latest version, since terms can be revised.
Tax columns: TCS, TDS and GST on fees
You may see columns for tax collected at source (TCS), tax deducted at source (TDS) or GST on fees. These are not Myntra's income; they are amounts that appear in your tax credits and returns.
- Check the base on which each tax is computed and the rate applied against current law. Your tax adviser or chartered accountant should confirm the latest rates and rules.
- Match the totals to what appears in your GST and income tax portals, such as GSTR-2B or Form 26AS, for the relevant period.
- Keep tax amounts separate from fee deductions in your working, otherwise net payout will not tie out.
Returns, adjustments and net payable
Returned, cancelled or RTO items usually appear as negative lines or reversals, sometimes in a later settlement than the original sale. Look for columns such as return amount, reversal of commission, penalty, claim or adjustment, and a final net payable.
- Take the net payable for a settlement and compare it with the bank credit by UTR.
- Rebuild the net from the lines: sale value, less deductions, less taxes, plus or minus adjustments.
- For each return, check that the sale was reversed and whether the commission reversal matches your terms.
- List differences with order IDs so they can be raised as recovery cases with evidence.
Doing this by hand across many settlements is slow. MarketplaceMetrics by Fundle reconciles sales and settlements, checks fees against agreed terms and tracks returns and recovery cases; Myntra Excel reports are reviewed, and other marketplaces are in scope discussion.
Worked example
Illustrative example only. The amounts below are made up to show the arithmetic and are not Myntra rates or fees.
| Line | Illustrative amount (₹) |
|---|---|
| Selling price (one item) | 1,000 |
| Commission | -180 |
| Fixed fee | -20 |
| Logistics fee | -60 |
| Tax collected at source | -10 |
| Net payable | 730 |
If the bank credit for this line were ₹700, you would investigate a ₹30 gap by checking for an unlisted adjustment or a fee that is not in your agreement. If the item is later returned, the later settlement should show a reversal, and you should check that the commission treatment follows your terms.
Questions and answers
Where do I download the settlement report on Myntra?
Settlement and payment reports are available from the Myntra Partner Portal, usually under the finance or payments section. Menu names can change, so if you cannot find them, ask your account manager or use the portal's support channel for the current path.
Why does my net payable not match my bank credit?
A bank credit can combine several settlements, or include adjustments, returns, holds or reversals from other periods. Match by UTR or reference first, then rebuild the net from the line items and list unexplained differences by order ID.
How do I verify the commission shown in the report?
Take the commission rate or slab from your signed agreement or latest rate card, apply it to the base it specifies, and compare it with the column. Check category, brand and effective dates, and confirm any revision in writing.
Are TCS and TDS columns part of my payout deductions?
They are tax amounts withheld or collected, and they reduce the cash you receive, but they are accounted for differently from fees. Confirm current rates and treatment with your tax adviser, and match them to your GST and income tax records.
