SHORT ANSWER

A Myntra settlement report is the statement showing how your sales for a period turn into the net amount credited to your bank. It lists order-level sales, returns, commission, fees, tax lines and adjustments. Reconcile it by matching the net figure to the bank credit, then checking sales, returns and each deduction against your own records and seller agreement.

What a Myntra settlement report is, and what it is not

A Myntra settlement report links what customers paid for your orders to what Myntra transfers to your bank account. It covers sales, returns, deductions and adjustments for a settlement period, and its net figure should tie to the payout you receive.

Two cautions. First, column names and layout can change, so treat the headings below as groups of information, not exact labels. Second, the report shows what was deducted, not whether the deduction was correct. That check is yours to make against your seller agreement and rate card.

The main blocks of information to look for

Whatever the exact headings, most settlement reports can be read as the groups below.

How to match the report to your bank credit

Do this in order. Starting with deductions before the totals tie out wastes time.

  1. Fix the period and payment reference. Note the settlement dates and the reference that appears on your bank statement.
  2. Match the net figure. Compare the report's net payable with the bank credit. If they differ, look for part payments, holds or a second payout for the same period.
  3. Reconcile sales. Compare sale value in the report with your own order data for the same orders.
  4. Isolate returns. Separate returned and reversed items, then match them to what your warehouse actually received.
  5. Recompute deductions on a sample. Pick orders across categories and recalculate commission and fees from your terms.
  6. Log every difference. Record order ID, amount, reason and status so nothing is lost between cycles.

Deductions worth verifying every cycle

Never rely on a rate quoted in a blog post, including this one. Rates and rules change, so take them from your own documents.

  • Commission: check the rate for your category and price band in your seller agreement or the current rate card.
  • Fixed and shipping-related fees: confirm the fee slabs and whether they apply to the order type in question.
  • Return-related charges: check which return types are chargeable under your terms and whether the charge was applied once.
  • Penalties and adjustments: ask for the reason code and supporting data, then compare with your own dispatch and quality records.
  • TCS, TDS and GST lines: these depend on current law and your registration. Confirm the latest position with your tax adviser and match the amounts to your tax statements.

Why reports and records often do not match

Many differences are timing, not errors. Still, each one needs an explanation.

  • Period cut-offs: an order sold in one period may settle, or be reversed, in the next.
  • Late return reversals: a return received after payout can appear as a deduction in a later cycle.
  • Held or part payments: a payout may be split or delayed, so one report can map to more than one bank credit.
  • Rate card changes: a change mid-period can lead to mixed rates in one report.
  • Missing or duplicate orders: an order in your system with no settlement line, or the reverse, needs a recovery case.

Turning the check into a monthly routine

Set a fixed day after each payout to run the steps above. Keep one sheet for open differences, with owner, amount, date raised and outcome. Review ageing items before they pass any claim window in your agreement, which you should confirm in the document itself.

If manual matching is taking too long, MarketplaceMetrics by Fundle reconciles marketplace sales and settlements, checks commissions and fees against agreed terms, and tracks returns and recovery cases. Myntra Excel reports are reviewed, and other marketplaces are in scope discussion. Pricing is a tailored quote.

Worked example

Illustrative example. All figures, including the commission, are assumed for illustration and are not Myntra's rates or any real brand's data.

LinePer report (₹)Expected from your terms (₹)
Sale value50,00050,000
Less returns reversed6,0006,000
Net sales44,00044,000
Commission7,0006,600
Other fees1,8001,800
Tax lines as shown500500
Net payable34,70035,100

The bank credit of ₹34,700 matches the report, so the payout looks fine at first glance. Recomputing commission from the rate card shows a ₹400 gap. That is the item to log with order IDs and raise as a query. Matching the bank credit alone would have missed it.

Questions and answers

What is a Myntra settlement report?

It is the statement showing how your sales for a period become the net payout in your bank account. It lists orders, returns, commission, fees, tax lines and adjustments. Use it as the starting point for reconciliation, not as proof that every deduction is correct.

How do I check if my Myntra payout is correct?

First match the report's net payable to the bank credit. Then compare sales and returns with your own order and warehouse records, and recompute commission and fees on a sample using your seller agreement or current rate card. Log any differences with order IDs.

Where do I find Myntra's commission and fee rates?

Check your signed seller agreement and the latest rate card or commercial terms shared with you. If a charge looks different from those documents, ask your Myntra account contact for the current terms in writing before disputing it.

Why does my settlement not match my sales report?

Common causes are period cut-offs, returns reversed in a later cycle, held or part payments, mid-period rate changes, and missing or duplicate order lines. Match order by order to separate timing differences from genuine errors that need a recovery case.
